How is MBBA Sports Different

We build and manage your fixtures for you

MBBA Sports takes care of the fixture planning. We build schedules for seasonal leagues and one-day tournaments around your teams, venues, game times, referees and special requests.

We can also set up and manage your competition platform, including fixtures, ladders and match history. Your authorised users only need to enter the results.

Typical scheduling software

  • You set up the platform
  • You build the fixture
  • You fix clashes and late changes
  • You submit support tickets when something goes wrong

MBBA Sports

  • We build the fixture for you
  • We plan around your teams, venues, times and referees
  • You contact us directly when something changes
  • We update the fixture and fix the issue for you

How It Works

A concise three-step process.

1

Send your competition details

We provide a structured template for teams, divisions, dates, venues and scheduling rules.

2

We build and check the fixture

MBBA Sports applies the agreed constraints, generates the draw and reviews the output.

3

Receive a ready-to-use schedule

You receive the fixture with a summary of the checks completed and any unavoidable trade-offs.

We make reasonable efforts to provide the initial fixture within 24 hours after receiving complete, valid and scheduling-ready inputs. Larger competitions or multiple simultaneous submissions may require additional time, which will be confirmed upfront. Incomplete inputs may be returned for correction.

NSWDL CASE STUDY

A complete 11-round fixture before Round 1

NSW Dodgeball League runs both Foam Dodgeball and Cloth Dodgeball across two divisions and three competition categories. All matches are played on Saturdays using four shared courts. This makes scheduling difficult. Some players compete in more than one category, so their matches cannot be scheduled at the same time. Games also need to be spaced out to reduce player fatigue and avoid players having to play back-to-back matches. The league also needs to manage court availability, player availability, round-robin requirements and the number of games played in each round.

This saved more than 30 hours of manual work and gave players, teams and organisers more time to prepare.

Outcome

The challenge

Previously, the fixture was built manually, which took many hours and made every rule difficult to check.

How MBBA Sports helped

NSWDL provided team and player lists, and MBBA Sports modelled more than 15 scheduling constraints.

The result

The Round Robin fixture was completed before Round 1 and late changes became easier to manage.

MBBA Sports created and checked the full 11-round fixture while accounting for NSWDL's player, court and competition requirements.

FAQ

Quick answers before you send the fixture.

Does MBBA Sports replace PlayHQ, MySideline or GameDay?

No. MBBA Sports works alongside your existing competition platform. We prepare the fixture, check the scheduling constraints and return a ready-to-use draw that can be published through your current process.

What information do we need to provide?

You need to provide complete, valid and scheduling-ready details using the agreed template: teams, divisions, dates, venues, available timeslots, blackout dates, referee needs and competition rules. Incomplete inputs may be returned for correction.

How quickly will we receive the first fixture?

We make reasonable efforts to provide the initial fixture within 24 hours after receiving complete, valid and scheduling-ready inputs. Larger competitions or multiple simultaneous submissions may require additional time, confirmed upfront.

What counts as a major revision?

A major revision changes the competition structure, team list, dates, venues, round format or key constraints after scheduling has started. Small corrections or clarifications are handled within the agreed revision allowance.

Can you schedule a one-day tournament?

Yes, if the tournament details are complete and scheduling-ready. One-day events can include pools, courts, timeslots, finals structure and referee needs, with final scope and timing confirmed before work begins.

Who enters results on the MBBA Sports Platform?

The client's approved users enter results. MBBA Sports manages the competition structure, fixture setup and platform configuration as an add-on to a Scheduling Subscription, while result entry remains with the authorised people running the competition day to day.
